Bruce Berger is the author of The Telling Distance , which won the 1990 Western States Book Award for Creative Nonfiction, and There Was a River, both published by the University of Arizona Press, as well as the poetry collection Facing the Music. His articles and essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Yale Review, Orion, Sierra, and ELSEWHERE. He has played piano professionally in the United States and, for three years, in Spain. He first reached Baja California in 1968, before pavement made it accessible to most Americans, and has been haunting its habitats ever since.

Bruce Berger es al autor de The Telling Distance, premio  que ganó en 1990 por Western States Book Award por el género  literario No Ficción , y There Was a River, ambos publicados por la Universidad de Arizona Press, así como la colección de poesía Facing the Music. Sus artículos y ensayos han aparecido en The New York Times, The Yale Review Orion, Sierra, y ELSEWHERE. 

Ha tocado el piano profesionalmente en Estados Unidos, y en España por 3 años. Llegó a Baja California en 1968, antes de que el camino fuera accesible para la mayoría de los Americanos, y desde entonces ha estado persiguiendo sus habitats.
